Dr. Michael Lehrer

Board-certified dermatologist Michael Lehrer, MD, FAAD, studied at the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Medical Education.

Having grown up in Broomfield, Colorado, Dr. Lehrer studied at Colorado State University for his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences and Biomedical Engineering. After graduating, he attended Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska, where he received a Magna Cum Laude as well as admission to Alpha Omega Alpha and Alpha Sigma Nu honor societies.

Having completed his residency in Dermatology at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona, he was privileged to practice with top dermatologists in Arizona and across the country. He led the Mayo Clinic INTERCEPT skin cancer study, which developed genetic testing algorithms for high-risk cancer patients. He also developed an educational curriculum to prevent skin cancer in collaboration with Arizona State University and other professional organizations. Additionally, he works as a professor at Creighton University School of Medicine and Arizona State University School of Health Sciences.

He developed an early love for the outdoors while growing up in Colorado. His work and exploration have taken him to Colorado, Alaska, Nebraska, Iowa, Wyoming, and Montana in the American West and Midwest. He enjoys many outdoor activities at home with his wife and family.

Today, Dr. Lehrer practices General Medical and Surgical Dermatology in Mesa, Arizona, focusing on Skin Cancer prevention and education. He has collaborated with Carlie to ensure Fox Dermatology and Aesthetics meets all compliance standards. He also serves as the practice’s Medical Director and Supervising Physician.
